Altronix, the pioneer in power and data transmission products for the professional security industry, is showcasing its new COMMBATT™ Power and Backup for Emergency Responder Communication Enhancement Systems here at ISC West 2023 in booth #11073.

COMMBATT provides power and back-up for bi-directional amplifiers (BDA) and other critical system components. This unit monitors a wide range of internal supervisory conditions, as well as BDA health. An optional annunciator facilitates remote status monitoring.

First responder radio coverage

Auxiliary Radio Communications Enhancement Systems (ARCS) are mandated in New York City buildings over 75 feet tall to ensure in-building first responder radio coverage in the event of an emergency or crisis. Across the country, public safety codes and mandates require that facilities are equipped with Emergency Responder Communications Enhancement Systems (ERCES) that enable communications between first responders in and around buildings during emergency situations.

Our new COMMBATT1 Power and Back-Up solution is a vital component for the operation of these critical systems,” said Ronnie Pennington, Director of Sales for the Americas, Altronix. “COMMBATT plays an essential role in assuring seamless power for emergency communications.”

Separate approved enclosure

COMMBATT1 provides power for either 12VDC or 24VDC systems, and accommodates up to two (2) internal 55AH batteries.

Additional back-up batteries can be added in a separate approved enclosure. The unit incorporates local LED indicators along with multiple independent supervisory outputs which report trouble conditions. Model ANC1BBU Annunciator enables remote status and trouble condition reporting and is also equipped with multiple independent supervisory outputs. Both the COMMBATT1 and ANC1BBU are backed by a lifetime warranty and are pending UL2524.
