Allison Transmission will highlight its latest technology in firefighting and emergency services, including its eGen Power electric propulsion system, at the SICUR biennial international trade fair – SICUR 2022, taking place at the IFEMA exhibition centre, in Madrid, Spain, from February 22-25, 2022, at stand 8E26.
Providing agility, speed and enhanced control, Allison’s fully automatic transmissions are already the preferred choice for fire departments in Spain and around the globe. Now, Allison Transmission is expanding its product portfolio, with a range of eGen Power fully integrated electric axles, to respond to new legislation and sustainability trends in the transportation sector.
Allison electrified solutions for zero emissions

Allison’s fully automatic transmissions
In three words, Allison fully automatic transmissions provide the fire department with safety, reliability and agility"
Incipresa is responsible for the bodywork and delivery of the vehicle to the Alcorcón Fire Department. The vehicle has a water capacity of 3500 litres and a foam capacity of over 100 litres. A body width of 2400 mm makes it the narrowest vehicle on the market, greatly improving accessibility in urban areas and giving it a significant competitive advantage.
Jose Otero, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Incipresa, said “In three words, Allison fully automatic transmissions provide the fire department with safety, reliability and agility. This is unquestionably a good mix for our clients.”
Offering greater acceleration and less power loss
Juan Antonio Sánchez, the Key Account Sales Manager at Renault Trucks Spain, said “Compared to other transmission options for industrial vehicles, the Allison automatic transmission, with its continuous torque technology, offers something vital for emergency services - greater acceleration and less power loss in shifting.”
The Burgos Fire Department in Northern Spain recently took delivery of a MAN 4x4 TGM 320HP truck equipped with an Allison 3000 Series transmission and is awaiting delivery of an Iveco Magirus heavy duty rural fire truck later this year, which will also be equipped with an Allison.
Allison 3000 Series transmission
Based on previous positive experiences of Allison transmissions in Mercedes Atego trucks, the Alicante Municipal Fire Department recently added a new urban light-duty fire truck mounted on an Iveco EuroCargo 140E28 chassis and fitted with an Allison 3000R fully automatic transmission.
This vehicle stands out for its high performance-to-weight ratio and maneuverability in a tight urban environment.
