Alcatraz, developer of secure frictionless access control platforms, has named Debraj Sinha as Product Marketing Manager - an important role as the physical security technology startup brings its innovative Rock facial authentication product to market.
Based in Silicon Valley, Sinha oversees all marketing efforts related to Alcatraz and its core hardware and software solutions including product launch and go-to-market strategy. His current focus at Alcatraz is to execute marketing campaigns, develop customer messaging, build demand generation, and support sales.
Product marketing
“Debraj is one of those rare finds of top technical skill coupled with impressive business acumen, and we are fortunate to have him leading our product marketing efforts during this very crucial period for Alcatraz,” said Alcatraz Chief Revenue Officer Tina D’Agostin.
Before joining Alcatraz, Sinha was a product marketing manager at Qualcomm, where he worked on the go-to-market strategy for 5G Modem-RF products and built marketing content for the 5G team. He also spent several years as a software engineer at Cisco, Oracle, and Delphix.
Artificial intelligence and machine learning
“What attracted me to Alcatraz is their impressive work in artificial intelligence and machine learning, and the technology aspect, but also how they have managed to enhance access control with modern technology solutions like facial authentication,” said Sinha. “It seems logical that facial authentication be an integral part of an access control solution, but no one has been able to deliver a robust solution that works with any access control system until Alcatraz.”
Sinha earned an MBA from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, a master’s in computer science from Cornell University, and a bachelor’s in telecommunication engineering from the R.V. College of Engineering in India. He lives in the Bay Area with his wife, Carrie, and their corgi, Daisy.
