483 companies from 25 countries exhibited at MIPS this year
MIPS took place between 24th to 27th April 2012 in Moscow

The 18th edition of MIPS (Moscow International Exhibition Protection, Security and Fires Safety) once again confirmed its position as the largest and most well established exhibition for the security and fire safety industry in Eastern Europe and Russia.

MIPS represents the latest security and fire safety technologies and solutions available to the Russian market. The event took place on 24-27 April 2012, at the Expocentre in Moscow, Russia.

MIPS 2012 exhibitor, Yuri Burchakov, Engineer, LUIS+ Center commented, “I think that innovation is the main idea of this exhibition. We are showcasing a lot of new products this year like our new LTV baseline, our new LTV ID line, so I think we have many interesting, innovative products for our partners and clients. MIPS is probably the biggest exhibition in Russia and it is a really great opportunity to present yourself, to show your possibilities, to work in a modern market and offer solutions”.

483* companies from 25 countries exhibited at MIPS this year, with Germany, the UK, China, and Taiwan having national stands. The event was attended by over 15,500 visitors from 47 countries, which was a 15% increase from last year.

As part of MIPS, five conferences were held from 24 to 26 April and focused on the following key topics:

  • Complex Safety Issues for Construction Projects: Problems and Solutions
  • Complex Safety Issues for Shopping Centres and Retail Security
  • Integrated Security Issues for Large Sporting and Cultural Events
  • Complex Safety Issues for Cultural, Art, and Cinema Establishments. Problems and Solutions
  • Safety of Payment Systems

Additionally, the Transport Security and Technology 2012 Conference, in partnership with RIA Industria Bezopasnosti, was held on 25 April. Participants discussed government policy and legislation in the area of transport security, and how to improve them.

The next edition of MIPS will take place from 15 to 18 April 2013 in Pavilion 75 of Moscow’s VVC Exhibition Centre.

“My advice to international companies seeking to participate at MIPS is to look professional, to invent a new product, and to learn a little of Russian”, said Dennis Ilin, President, Acumen Intercontinental.
