IEIMobile, the branded mobile solution provider established by IEI Technology Corp. (IEI), announced the launch of the AVL-3000, a highly integrated auto data server designed for advanced vehicle and asset management applications. The AVL-3000 includes various features such as the Intel Atom N2600 1.6GHz CPU, Windows 7 OS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HSUPA/GPRS/GSM, GPS, and On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) technologies.

An exceptional feature of the AVL-3000 is its ability to incorporate a wide range of I/O interface including six COM ports, four USB hosts, VGA input, video, HDMI, and OBD-II connectors, providing a flexible selection to suit application needs. Furthermore, this high-end vehicle tracking device supports video capture function and utilises a quality software compression card to ensure smooth video capture, compression, and file transmission.

The AVL-3000 is ideal for vehicle tracking, security, surveillance, and data collection. Information can be transmitted in real-time to the back office, allowing total operation transparency of workers in remote areas. In addition, the integrated GPS with Dead Reckoning (DR) support compensates for the limitations of GPS technology, providing unceasing position tracking for efficient real-time location updates.

To improve the stability and performance, the AVL-3000 utilises a 16GB 2.5” SATA SSD for storage which has two major benefits:

  • It allows more information to be stored. This is a great significance for vehicle surveillance applications as video/audio information requires large storage space.
  • It is more durable and can withstand strong vibrations in the tough vehicle environment.
