TDSi will showcase DIGIgarde PLUS, a fingerprint biometric access control and Time and Attendance reader

TDSi, a global leader in access control systems for all sizes of businesses and organisations will be showcasing its DIGIgarde PLUS biometric reader and TCP/IP integration with Texecom Premier range of Intruder Alarm panels at Intersec Dubai on the 15th-17th January 2012.

TDSi will demonstrate how organisations can benefit from the integration of its new EXgarde product with Texecom's Premier range of Intruder Alarm system panels. Texecom, the largest independent security alarm specialist provider of bespoke design solutions has partnered with TDSi to create an integrated access control/intruder alarm software product that enables organisations to activate and deactivate specific panels plus individual zones.  All Intruder Alarm events appear in the EXgarde Pro Alarm Manager and Events section.  This is beneficial as the integration provides enhanced control, so that if an alarm is activated, then CCTV can be triggered to deliver both a real time image and a 15 second pre alarm condition recording to the control room.  The integration also means users benefit from a single point of administration with the ability to monitor a log of the intruder alarm system and also reduce the numbers of false alarms.

John Davies, Managing Director of TDSi, comments "This integration with Texecom has enabled TDSi to compete in the market place with a truly integrated system on an IP level. The user has full control, arming and disarming zones to suit the use of the building, thus reducing the number of false alarms triggered."

At Intersec Dubai, TDSi will also showcase DIGIgarde PLUS, a multitasking fingerprint biometric access control and Time and Attendance reader that is compatible with fingerprints, Mifare cards and PIN numbers.  The reader can be used in stand-alone mode for Time and Attendance applications or to control access to a single door, or can be integrated into an access control system, which allows real-time event monitoring and central system programming and control.

The DIGIgarde PLUS reader is IP65 rated and powered by POE (Power over Ethernet), it provides added security should a specific entrance require it, offering access using a combination of secure methods.  The reader can easily be integrated into existing or planned security and surveillance systems.  It is designed to ensure ease of installation and compatibility, to ensure maximum value for money.

Davies adds, "It is essential that organisations can not only have secure access, but also provide levels of security, which will integrate into an extensive access control system. The DIGIgarde PLUS reader has many functions from time and attendance to an LCD screen which enhances feedback to the user and offers an intuitive local programming interface."

The event will showcase a lot of innovative technologies as Davies concludes, "This event is an ideal opportunity to showcase our leading access control technology and visitors to the stand will benefit from insight into the latest innovations in access control. Alongside the Texecom integration and DIGIgarde PLUS, TDSi will also have on the stand its full range of card readers including the EXprox, EXprox VR, Opitca VR, EXprox 2 and EXprox 2K proximity readers and the EXsmart 2 and EXsmart 2K MIFARE smartcard readers."
