The Briton 9400M Series of high security electromagnetic locks, which replace the previous 9300 Series, has been launched by Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies.

Including both upgraded models with new features and new ranges, the 9400M locks are robust and secure. They are specially designed for easy and quick installation, with an innovative new bayonet mounting bracket which eliminates having to hold the lock while fitting.  All the locks are non-handed and symmetrical, allowing optimum placement of the magnet regardless of the application.

The ‘9400M' standard range comprises 225kg and 450kg holding force options, together with single and double high security magnets in two configurations, to meet specific security needs.  Another feature is automatic selection for 12/24v DC along with polarity protection to make wiring less complex.

The ‘9400M.P' features additional add-ons including a magnetic bond sensor which monitors the strength of the bond between the lock and armature, as well as a Door Position Switch and Relock Time Delay, adjustable from 0.5 to 30 seconds. New ranges include the 9490.DE which offers delayed egress with audible alarm and the ‘9490M.G' which is is a weather-resistant gate lock.  This has a superior handling force of up to 680kg and is designed for all types of sliding and swinging gates.

The GF3000 Shear Lock Collection has been slimmed down to three products for ease of specification and stock handling. They feature superior security and aesthetic appeal and a unique floating action for both the assembly and armature, together with a holding force of 1360kg.
