The 2006 BII NITAs, the most prestigious training awards in the licensed retail sector have been launched, and now is the time to get your entries in.  With the new mandatory licences for door supervisors, door supervisor training has become essential, and now is your opportunity to be gain formal recognition of your training programme by winning a prestigious BII NITA award.

The door supervisor-training award is being sponsored by BIIAB and City & Guilds, and is aimed at the organisation, which provides the highest quality training for door supervisors in the new regulatory environment.

The judges of the BII NITAs are an entirely independent and well-respected panel, so upholding the award's status as the ultimate endorsement of training excellence.  The BII NITAs are recognised throughout the licensed retail sector and winning a NITA award creates a real competitive advantage for both you and your organisation.

Professor Conrad Lashley CMBII, chairman of the respected and influential judging panel said of the awards: "This is the third year of running the NITAs in the new format which includes a more rigorous judging procedure, and provides all entrants with personal feedback on their entry.  The judges will be looking for training schemes that offer models of the very best practice and training door supervisors to the highest standards. As a profession that has such a physical and possibly dangerous outcome, proper training is crucial.  And judges will be looking for schemes that can be seen as representatives for other schemes to aspire to."

He added: "Those who win a BII NITA are regarded as simply the best in their field, and it demonstrates huge prestige.  This year will see the introduction of the new ‘Supreme Award', which will celebrate the very best entry for the year, and will be awarded to the winner of any category who exemplify excellence and best practice training."

So get your entries in now, closing date is 30th June.  For more information and to enter contact Rachael Julnes on 01276 682214 or e-mail your request to NITA@bii.org
