artec technologies AG, Germany offers with the software upgrade MULTIEYE HYBRID/NET to version 2.2.0.0 as of August 2009 as one of the first software developer and recorder manufacturer worldwide the support of the compression standard MJPEG for all ACTi cameras (which support these functions).

According to Jens Ringlstetter, Vice President Sales & Marketing, the advantages are convincing: "Hence, reducing system load which enables at the same time a higher picture rate. The picture quality is improved and the analysis possibilities expand since all picture can be shown as full views. Furthermore the recording quality can be scaled, so a consistent of the pictures can be reached even under poor lighting conditions." As in previous software versions there's no Plug In like ActiveX for the MJPEG support needed.
