Henry Bros.Electronics, Inc. (Amex: HBE), a turnkey provider of technology-based integrated electronic security solutions, today announced that it has been awarded a $1.1 million contract with the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey to upgrade the existing Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) system throughout the Port Authority's PATH system.

Under the terms of the contract, Henry Bros.  Electronics will install new system servers that are capable of controlling more than 600 cameras throughout the PATH system, and will install high-speed data transmission equipment to connect PATH stations from New Jersey to New York.  The Company will also upgrade the PATH's surveillance system to a fully digital recording platform and provide a new network of video workstations from which data is accessed.

This project will provide a more complete end-to-end security solution which will enable greater control and virtually instant retrieval of video clips from a vast storage library."
