JVC’s TK-C1480BE cameras and TK-WD310E wide dynamic range cameras were selected by installer Complete Visual Systems for a national installation at various sites of a major hotel group throughout the UK.

Dave Clements, Operations Manager at Complete Visual Systems comments, “JVC
provides the highest possible quality at an affordable price. Having installed TK-WD310E and TK-C1480BE fixed cameras both internally and externally, the cameras are set to achieve optimum picture quality in a diverse range of environments and lighting conditions. The cameras have also been perfectly compatible with digital video recording systems installed.”

The TK-WD310E wide dynamic camera features a 1/3-inch wide dynamic range image device, 14-bit digital signal processing and 480 lines of horizontal resolution. The high speed, automatic 5-level exposure level for each pixel allows the clearest images in the most difficult of lighting conditions.

The TK-C1480BE is a 1/2-inch interline transfer CCTV camera with 480 lines of horizontal resolution. It incorporates advanced digital signal processing technology that optimizes performance in even the most adverse lighting conditions.

Dave Clements adds, “After undertaking a CCTV product review from a wide range of manufacturers, we selected the JVC cameras because they were best suited to our installation requirements.”

The main security threats for the hotel and conference industry are organized groups of criminals that target expensive media equipment such as laptops and LCD projectors found in meeting rooms throughout the country. Car crime is also a significant security factor. Walk-in thefts of briefcases and handbags left unattended in hotel lobbies are common and occur mainly in inner city locations. All types of fraud may result,
including the use of foreign currency, counterfeit currency, cheques and credit cards.

Dave Clements states, “I have been very grateful for the support of JVC, who have on several occasions, visited the hotels with me to set up cameras for the more difficult lighting environments. Having direct access to the service is invaluable and has, no question of it, saved me many painful hours!”
