Gunnebo Security Group has, through its subsidiary Gunnebo Mexico, signed an MEUR 8.8 contract with Mexican BBVA Bancomer for maintenance and refurbishment of bank branches.

The contract, which runs over three years, includes maintenance and refurbishment of BBVA Bancomer branches in large parts of Mexico.

“This order is a milestone for Gunnebo’s development in South America,” states Gunnebo President and CEO Per Borgvall. “BBVA is one of our key customers in Europe, and we won this order very much thanks to our ability to deliver the same high-quality products and services on a global scale. Also, with this contract Gunnebo consolidates its position as a full-scale security partner for banks also in Mexico.”

“With this order BBVA Bancomer is declaring its trust in Gunnebo Mexico and emphasising its commitment with the continuous improvement of bank security in the process of consolidation and expansion of BBVA in Mexico,” says Carlos Sanroma, Institutional Security Manager of the Bank in Mexico.

Financial Group BBVA Bancomer is a Spanish private financial institution with an important presence in Mexico, providing a wide variety of products and financial services. The Group’s principal activities are performed through BBVA Bancomer, a leading bank subsidiary in Mexico in terms of deposits and credit portfolio, with 7,900 ATMs and 2,000 branch offices across the country.

Gunnebo Mexico was established in 2010 and has been providing security services ever since, reaching a very good market position among most of the banks of Mexican and Spanish origin and other security consumers.
