A major access management business is gearing up for a trio of industry awards. The Key Safe Company, which supplies police preferred key safes and security products, has secured several industry awards nominations fresh from landing a coveted feature slot in The Sunday Times.

A trio of industry awards

Led by innovator - David Ogden, whose catalogue of key safe inventions has revolutionised social care to name just one sector, Key Safe has been shortlisted for Entrepreneurial Business of the Year: up to £10m in the inaugural Security & Safety Entrepreneur Awards while David is up for Entrepreneur of the Year.

The winners will be announced at The Security Event 2024, taking place at the NEC, from April 30 to May 2, 2024, where Key Safe will exhibit some of its latest products. The company, Based at Nunnery Park on the eastern fringes of Worcester, has also been nominated for Employer of the Year in the 2024 Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Awards.

Nominations and recognition

David was thrilled with the nominations and that they were a recognition of the hard work and expertise of the team

David, who launched the business in 1996, said he was thrilled with the nominations and that they were recognition of the hard work and expertise of the team around him.

I’m delighted to see the company up for three awards,” he said, adding “You’re only as good as the people around you and I’m blessed to have a truly brilliant team. I have a whole army of trusted critics. Before I launch a product I know I can run it past them because they will always give me honest and insightful feedback.”

Ark Tamo

One particular product, the Ark Tamo, is the world’s first mechanical key safe with more than nine million combinations. It has achieved the highest Secured by Design Police preferred security rating in its class from the Loss Prevention Certification Board.

Some of the team have been on this journey with me from day one,” said David, adding “These awards nominations are a testament to my workforce’s unswerving commitment and expertise.”
