MicroPower will release a new version of their solar/wireless platform in 2015
Customers look to leverage video surveillance technologies to optimise and monitor operations within their business

MicroPower 2014/2015 Review and Forecast:

In 2015, we will continue to see customers look to leverage video surveillance technologies to optimise and monitor operations within their business. Solutions that enable organisations to shift from more situational awareness to situational assessment – for example, using images collected from the surveillance feed to determine whether a problem demands a maintenance crew or possibly first responders in an emergency. The idea of using surveillance investments for operational purposes helps move an incident from situational awareness to situational assessment. It also helps spread the cost of a video surveillance investment across multiple departments and drives value throughout a customer organisation.

In 2014, MicroPower marked a successful year driven by new customers, as well as repeat customers, and welcome interest in our expanded technologies. This is buoyed by a renewed sales structure, new marketing initiatives, enhanced brand awareness and a strong focus on meeting our customer’s specific needs. Over the past year, we also spent a significant amount of time educating customers on the technologies that make up the core of our product offerings. Wireless transmission and solar power are proven in other markets but are fairly new to the security industry. For that reason, we have highlighted a discussion around the value of these technologies, why they are a strong option for mission-critical applications, such as security and operations monitoring, and how they have been used successfully in other markets for many years.

2015 will be a very exciting year for MicroPower. We are releasing a new version of our solar/wireless platform, which will include high-definition video surveillance, in mid-January. This solution will further drive our customers’ ability to gain more uses and value from their video investment. Our mission will not change: Our systems will continue to focus on allowing customers to gain surveillance coverage in areas that traditional technology systems cannot reach. At the same time, our surveillance platforms will continue to combines sustainable energy, secure and reliable wireless transmission capability, and power management to extend the use of surveillance monitoring to far-reaching outdoor and perimeter locations.
