Honeywell Security launch GALANT control panel

Product Profile

The new GALANT control panel is now available from leading manufacturer, Ademco Microtech, now known as Honeywell Security.
The Galant is a 12-zone panel, expandable up to 36 zones making it suitable for commercial as well as residential installations.  It is compatible with hard-wire and/or wireless systems, giving installers and end users more choice, making the installation less intrusive and a lot easier too.

Zone resistance is fully programmable in the Galant panel, which makes it easy to retrofit into existing installations.  In addition, the Galant supports Remote Routine Inspection (RRI) via the Compass Downloader software.  Using the Windows(tm) based PC software, an installer can now check all vital parameters of a system in a remote location, over a phone line, saving time and money.  The forthcoming BS EN50131-1 standard, will allow installers to conduct one of the required 6-monthly inspections remotely.

The Galant is available with four different keypads, including the new 'full text display' keypad that uses English words, in full, to describe the condition of the system. Additional functions include a 250 event alarm memory, stamped with time and date activation history.  Galant has three setting options: full, part and night set.  Up to eight user codes are available for family or staff.  The Galant will also be available with a metal casing for use in commercial premises.
