When combined with an IDENT-KEY evaluation unit, the IDENT_KEY operating unit operates as a switching element for arming / disarming intrusion detection systems. The intrusion detection's arm / disarm control is located in the evaluation unit. All data carriers of the IK2 system can be read with this operating unit. A dual LED as well as a buzzer are provided as indicators; the buzzer can be freely actuated. A suitable mechanical blocking device actuated by the central control unit must be used if the IDENT-KEY operating unit is used. Contactless IDENT-KEY operating units also available with or without numeric keypad.
