Visual Command Center is physical security and risk visualisation (PSRV) software that unites data from external sources, enterprise systems, and internal devices into a real-time, common operating picture. With the software achieving increasing recognition in the security market, the Lansing, Michigan, company has added two security-sector veterans as Regional Sales Directors.

  • Bruce Gerbl brings more than 20 years of experience in security consulting and security systems to his new position. Most recently employed at Johnson Controls, Inc., Gerbl, of Alexandria, Kentucky, was previously principal consultant for Integrated Facilities Technology Corporation and Vice President of Sales for security solutions provider MAXxess Systems, Inc. Gerbl is a graduate of the University of California, Davis.
  • Phillip Koken, of La Quinta, California, served most recently as Director of West Coast Sales for RedCloud Security. A Navy veteran with expertise in Web-based access control and physical security, Koken has also held management positions at New Jersey-based DVTel, Inc., and Lenel Systems International.

“Phillip and Bruce bring us their experience and a real understanding of the security needs of organisations,” said Scott Sieracki, Executive Vice President – Global Sales for IDV Solutions. “Bringing these seasoned professionals aboard will help us to expand Visual Command Center’s footprint in the enterprise security software market.” IDV Solutions also added two new sales engineers to its team.

Kevin W. Steeprow, of Leesburg, VA, was formerly senior solutions manager for access control software firm Quantum Secure, Inc. As a senior sales engineer, Steeprow, who is a University of Virginia graduate, will work primarily with IDV Solutions’ federal government clients in the Washington, D.C. area.

Nahim Irish, who has been with IDV Solutions for five years, moves into a sales engineer position from the company’s support and training department. Irish will work with IDV Solutions’ West Coast and Southwest regional sales directors.

In addition to this sales team expansion, Susan E. Flores joins IDV Solutions in the new position of Controller. Flores brings 25 years of accounting and management experience from the Lansing Board of Water & Light and has an M.B.A. in finance.

“We’re excited to bring on Sue’s financial expertise to help support our growth plans for 2013 and beyond,” said IDV Solutions co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Ian Clemens.

The company also promoted development manager Chuck Fields to Director of Software Development. Fields has been with the company for five years.

“Chuck has played an instrumental role in many IDV Solutions initiatives during the last several years,” said John Dougherty, IDV Solutions’ Executive Vice President of Operations. “And this promotion is a result of Chuck’s leadership, hard work and technical prowess. “
