The interface combines alarm management and video management
The Pelco-P2000 integration allows the user control for the access control and digital video recording systems
Pelco recently announced the completion of integration development with Johnson Controls Inc. This new system-level integration allows Johnson Controls P2000 Security Management System to display live and pre-recorded video from Pelco DX8000 and DX8100 Digital Video Recorders or Pelco Endura V1.4 and V2.0 Network-Based Video Surveillance Systems.

According to Pelco officials, this new integrated security management solution is ideal for medium to large-scale security needs. And as security requirements grow, the Pelco recording systems are easily expanded. The DX8100 Series DVRs bring to market a new and innovative hardware platform that is powered by unparalleled, unique high-performance software and is expandable to meet future security requirements.

The Pelco-P2000 integration allows the user single-seat control for both the access control and digital video recording system. The P2000 system supports both DX8100 and DX8000 servers in the same network.

"Users can now benefit from a single graphical user interface, which combines alarm management and video management, thus allowing system operators to now efficiently conduct investigations, manage threats and security events," says Terry Carver, Pelco API Business Development Manager.

"Our customer's are looking for ways to drive efficiency in their security operations. This integration leverages data from both systems to present more intelligent information to the user; resulting in quicker and more informed responses to security events," says John Fenske, Johnson Controls Director Global Product Programs.

As part of the Pelco Partner First program, Johnson Controls also plans to implement support for H.264 streaming in their P2000 software application in the near future.
