Various international and local brands showcased their latest products and technologies at Secutech India 2013

Boosted by the growing need for security products and information in India, the second edition of Secutech India takes place in Mumbai from 28 February to 2 March at the MMRDA Ground, Bandra-Kurla Complex.

This professional exhibition and conference for electronic security, homeland security and fire security is organised by Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd (MFNE) and Asian Business Exhibition & Conference (ABEC). Around 130 exhibitors display a wide array of products and solutions which cover the needs of an entire vertical market with product categories that include surveillance, access control, perimeter, biometrics, intercom, fire and safety.

Many international and local brands showcase their latest products and technologies at Secutech India. Local brands include Core Tech, Firetex, Nisa Global and Wipro, together with international brands such as Bosch, Hikvision, Lilin, Mobotix and Vivotek.

Mr John Shi, General Manager for MFNE commented on the show saying: “For the second year running, our fair is receiving continuous industry support from industry suppliers. This in turn, will attract many professional visitors to come to the show such as security service providers IT or telecom industry channels player, architects and planners, builders and real estate developers, as well as end users representing government, hospitals, hotels and education sectors. Already confirmed to attend Secutech India are system integrator distributors from Advantedge, Compax, Micro Technologies, Vitran and Z-Plus.”

The chief guest of the opening ceremony was Mr Maninderjit Singh Bitta, Chairman for All India Anti-Terrorist Front. He commented that the fair helps to increase Indian’s understanding of the security industry. He said: “Secutech India is a big step for a growing nation like India and initiatives like this will have my support to take it to a national scale.”

Other VIPs joining the ceremony included Mr Sumit Gandhi, Director for ABEC Ltd, Mr Sita Ram Kunte (Senior IAS Officer), Commissioner for Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai and Mr M.S. Upadhye, Chief Security Commissioner for Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).

Global Digital Surveillance Forum (GDSF) India to discuss key industry issues

The Indian security market mainly covers video surveillance, access control and intrusion alarms and is currently estimated to be worth around USD 3.5 billion. GDSF India addresses the industry key issues arising from these market sectors.
