HID Global, a leading manufacturer in the access control industry, today announced that Anthony Ball has been named Managing Director of HID Global, EMEA region  (Europe, Middle East and Africa), reporting to Steve Wagner, Chief Operating Officer.  Effective May 1, 2007, Mr. Ball will be responsible for the strategic development and implementation of business objectives and growth for the EMEA region.  In his new role, Mr. Ball succeeds David Sullivan, who was recently named President of Fargo Electronics.

As Managing Director for the EMEA region Mr. Ball will be responsible for the strategic development and implementation of business objectives and growth plans for EMEA.  He will focus on further growth opportunities by promoting HID's unique secure identity-related capabilities through vehicles like HID ConnectTM, Networked Access Solutions and Card Services in EMEA.

"Anthony is a highly-focused and professional individual with an established track record of successful leadership and achievements in the smart card industry," said Steve Wagner, Chief Operating Officer of HID Global.  "He is the right person to lead a highly successful EMEA operation and implement objectives to take the company to the next level."

With a proven record of achieving profitability and growth, Mr. Ball has considerable international experience, a requirement for managing HID Global in the EMEA region.  Prior to joining HID, Mr. Ball held senior positions with Gemalto, Axalto and Schlumberger.  He speaks conversational French and holds a Business Degree from Bournemouth, UK.
