Eagle Eye Networks, Inc., the global provider of cloud-based video surveillance solutions, announced the integration of HD-TVI (high definition transport video interface) via encoders and recorders from Hikvision USA into the Eagle Eye Cloud Security Camera VMS. HD Over Coax solutions offer some advantages over standard IP video camera systems, such as low upgrade cost, simple installation and less networking complexity.

HD Over Coax is able to transmit reliably four to five times the distance of typical IP cameras allowing for longer cabling runs. The Eagle Eye Networks implementation of HD Over Coax utilises existing analogue cabling by simply replacing the camera and updating the encoder or recorder to communicate with the Eagle Eye Networks’ Bridge or CMVR (Cloud Managed Video Recorder).

Benefit in choosing Eagle Eye Networks Cloud VMS solution is the ability to use HD Over Coax cameras within the same system as traditional analogue or IP cameras

Reduction in cost of implementation

The latest addition to the Eagle Eye Networks Cloud VMS list of supported technologies further demonstrates Eagle Eye Networks’ commitment to providing customers and partners with the most innovative choices available to improve video quality and reduce the cost of implementation. This industry first offering can save end-users significant expense when they are ready to move to the Cloud.

An additional benefit in choosing Eagle Eye Networks Cloud VMS solution is the ability to use HD Over Coax cameras within the same system as traditional analogue or IP cameras.

Support analogue as well IP cameras

The Eagle Eye Cloud Security Camera VMS Bridges and CMVRs are already able to support both analogue cameras and IP cameras from hundreds of manufacturers including Axis, Bosch, Dahua, Hikvision, Panasonic, Pelco and Sony.

With Eagle Eye’s implementation, supported devices are plugged into the secure CamLan port on Eagle Eye’s range of Bridges and CMVRs creating an isolated, cyber-secure network for the HD transmission to the Eagle Eye Cloud. Eagle Eye customers and resellers will benefit greatly from the flexibility to design systems using digital or analogue cabling infrastructure.

Dahua Technology Ltd case studies

Dahua Technology joined hands with partners to provide seamless LED displays in The Netherlands

About a year and a half ago, Peter de Jong introduced Dahua to Fred Koks, General Manager of KITT Engineering.  Since then, Dahua, KITT Engineering and Ocean Outdoor have completed five joint projects together. Follow-up appointments for the next two projects are already scheduled. "Let's see what happens," was Fred's reaction when introduced to Dahua. ''We evaluate our portfolio with suppliers every year,'' he explained. “We have to. So much is changing and new technology is develo...

Dahua highlights some of the campus applications of implementing AI technology in schools

AI is empowering a new generation of advanced, efficient security systems. In the field of education, AI is also facilitating the digital and intelligent upgrading of schools and institutions from K12 to universities. AI applications such as smart identification, deep learning and intelligent analysis greatly reduce manpower costs, while improving the security level and management efficiency at the same time. AI-enabled innovative teaching methods can help enhance engagement in both remote and...

Dahua takes the lead in bringing advanced security technology to Antarctica

Antarctica is the Earth’s southernmost and least populated continent. It holds the world record for the lowest temperature ever measured: −89.2 °C (−128.6 °F). To help cover different scientific bases in the Argentine region of Antarctica, Dahua Technology has donated 15 security cameras specially developed to handle the harsh weather conditions in the “white continent”. These devices enable 24-hour footage, increase contact and connectivity with scientists...
