As shown on the Multiple Object Tracking (MOT) Benchmark’s official website, Dahua Technology TRK Method set a world record and took the 1st place in multiple pedestrian tracking challenges on August 2nd, 2018 - with a multi-object tracking accuracy (MOTA) of 54.1±13.0%.

Multiple Object Tracking Technology

Multiple Object Tracking (MOT) is an algorithm testing platform jointly established by Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich, the University of Adelaide and Technische Universitat Darmstadt. The benchmark is for performance evaluation of multiple pedestrian tracking algorithms in video surveillance scenes. As one of the most professional evaluation platform within the tracking field, MOT has attracted the continuous participation of numerous top-ranking AI companies and academic institutions.

Multiple object tracking technology handles trajectory association of all target objects in a video sequence

Object tracking technology is a core technology of video structured analysis. The principle is to use the initial target positioning information to complete the association of the same target in the time series, and complete the behavior discrimination and analysis according to the associated information. Multiple object tracking technology handles trajectory association of all target objects in a video sequence.

Target detection & face recognition

To prepare for this competition, Dahua Technology has upgraded the deep learning multiple object tracking algorithm frame based upon the advantages of target detection, face recognition, search by image and other algorithms. Using current methods such as feature reuse, together with multi-model fusion technology, the tracking performance has been greatly improved. Better solving problems such as obscuration, deformation, light changes, random motion, and excessive movement, Dahua Technology’s object tracking technology has been widely applied to newly launched intelligent products, especially cameras, NVRs and servers that are based upon video data structured algorithms.

Innovation is a company’s foundation of development, and also its source of power. This world record in MOT challenge marks Dahua Technology’s world leading position in object tracking field. With a mission of 'Enabling a Safer Society and Smarter Living', Dahua will continue to focus on 'Innovation, Quality, and Service', to serve partners and customers around the world.

Dahua Technology Ltd case studies

Dahua Technology joined hands with partners to provide seamless LED displays in The Netherlands

About a year and a half ago, Peter de Jong introduced Dahua to Fred Koks, General Manager of KITT Engineering.  Since then, Dahua, KITT Engineering and Ocean Outdoor have completed five joint projects together. Follow-up appointments for the next two projects are already scheduled. "Let's see what happens," was Fred's reaction when introduced to Dahua. ''We evaluate our portfolio with suppliers every year,'' he explained. “We have to. So much is changing and new technology is develo...

Dahua highlights some of the campus applications of implementing AI technology in schools

AI is empowering a new generation of advanced, efficient security systems. In the field of education, AI is also facilitating the digital and intelligent upgrading of schools and institutions from K12 to universities. AI applications such as smart identification, deep learning and intelligent analysis greatly reduce manpower costs, while improving the security level and management efficiency at the same time. AI-enabled innovative teaching methods can help enhance engagement in both remote and...

Dahua takes the lead in bringing advanced security technology to Antarctica

Antarctica is the Earth’s southernmost and least populated continent. It holds the world record for the lowest temperature ever measured: −89.2 °C (−128.6 °F). To help cover different scientific bases in the Argentine region of Antarctica, Dahua Technology has donated 15 security cameras specially developed to handle the harsh weather conditions in the “white continent”. These devices enable 24-hour footage, increase contact and connectivity with scientists...
