The C2 incorporates two C1PS Power Supply units that provide redundancy in the unlikely event of a power supply failure. Two AC line cords (one per power supply module) are provided, allowing each supply to be connected to a separate uninterruptible power supply, providing the highest level of reliability in mission-critical applications. An audio alarm provides an aural indication in the event that one of two power supply modules has failed. The design approach employed by ComNet for equipment mounted within the model C2 chassis rack unit with two modular C1PS power supplies, provides for the elimination of a single-point failure in the event of a major fault within any module located within the chassis rack.
