The new Comelit Simplebus from SRS makes a significant door entry system comparison:

Traditional System - return conductor wire for each user / video, co-axial cable, and video distributer for every 4 users

Comelit Simplebus System - just 2 non-polarised wires, as small as 0.28mm - even for video

The Simplebus is constructed without centralised decoders - both the door entry phone and monitor have integrated electronics, so systems can be branched for specific installation requirements. 2 wires are simply branched from the riser without even worrying about the polarity.

All types of installation solutions, from a single riser up to complex systems with several main doors, several secondary doors and a porter switchboard can be constructed using the Simplebus technology. The maximum number of users for each riser is 100, and a total of up to 240 users can be obtained when they are distributed over several risers.
