The BT823/843W is a Mifare® contactless smart card reader and is designed for security applications where a card and/or PIN (Personal Identification Number) is required. It is used in security applications to read data from smart cards and to send data back to a controller to grant or deny access to a door. This reader comes standard with Wiegand and RS485 formats. It also incorporates an LED and Buzzer. The BT843W has pre-defined LCD text display for “Present card”, “Enter PIN”, “Access denied” and “Access granted”. Custom messaging is available via an RS485 line.
