Designed for video monitoring and surveillance over IP networks, the S1600e server delivers high-quality MPEG-4 based video over 10/100 Base-T networks using cat 5, fibre optic and wireless media. The server can easily be extended over local and wide area networks (LANs and WANs) or the Internet using ISDN, PSTN, or xDSL routers. The video server is built on open standards to provide long-term investment protection. The S1600e comes as two units: a video encoder (S1600e-T) with one analogue video input, and a video decoder (S1600e-R) with one analogue video output (PAL/NTSC). Configuration and management are made easy with the SConfigurator software, Telnet support and via IE 6.0.
