Vigitron new products will focus on 1000Mbps bandwidth support for its 5-port switches and Vi3003 product line

Vigitron invites to visit its Booth #9130 at ISC West. This year, Vigitron is showcasing application solutions for access control, emergency response, VoIP phone systems, HD systems, and high power PoE long distance transmission.

Vigitron Vi3202 offers 60W of PoE

Vigitron's new products will focus on 1000Mbps (1G) bandwidth support for its popular series of the 5-port hardened switches and the weatherproof version of the Vi3003 drop-and-insert 1G product line. The company will also be introducing the Vi3202, a unique product powered by +24 volts A.C. providing up to 60W of PoE and pass through +24volts A.C. along with extended distance coax. The product is designed as a quick and cost effective replacement for existing analogue PTZ domes converting to IP. Its compact size fits directly into existing support arms such as Axis’ T91G61 wall mount.

New upgrades to enterprise Midspan software

Vigitron develops hardware, firmware, and software. Along with the new products, Vigitron is also introducing upgrades to its enterprise Midspan software. The management software is used to program and communicate with up to 50 units, providing constant monitoring and the ability to receive SNMP messaging from up to 800 different ports. The use of client/server based software eliminates the potential for unit hacking. New software features in this release include an email client allowing messaging to be transmitted both via SNMP and email, compatible to both public and private email addresses based on operator programming. A “Stay Alive” allows user programming of ports to specific IP addressed devices. In addition to Vigitron’s internal polling, which monitors ten statuses from each port, resets, and re-establishes port communication, the new feature allows operators to program in a specific IP address for the device connected to a specific port. If the connection is lost, the system will detect, reconnect, and reboot the device providing PoE. All events will be recorded. The system will send out pings to ensure consistent connections based on timing provided by the operator programming. This is especially important in applications such as access control where communication between is not always present.
