The building automation technology will be implemented using the Desigo platform

Swiss pharmaceutical company F. Hoffmann-La Roche opts for fire safety and building automation from Siemens for its new buildings on the Kaiseraugst campus near Basel. The order is valued at more than 1.5 million euros. The buildings are expected to be completed by mid-2017.

In the coming years, F. Hoffmann-La Roche will add several buildings to its Kaiseraugst campus. One of them will be the new reception building, which will house security offices, a café bar and a fitness centre. The second building will contain three auditoriums for a total of 650 people and an underground parking garage.

The Siemens Building Technologies Division will equip the buildings with Sinteso fire detectors. In addition, Siemens has won the order for building automation technology, which will be implemented using the Desigo platform. This also includes intelligent control of heating, ventilation and air conditioning in individual rooms (Total Room Automation; TRA), which creates comfortable environmental conditions for building occupants.
