The Legislative Assembly of El Salvador has successfully implemented the biometric system Id-Guard developed by the RecFaces company.
The entrance to the building is controlled by software that identifies visitors by face.
Id-Guard
Id-Guard is a state-of-the-art biometric software designed by RecFaces. It instantly detects a person in the video stream and compares the data with the archives in less than 10 seconds.
Id-Guard responds to threats in real-time and sends notifications about special events or violations to the operator.
Ready-made video surveillance system
RecFaces has provided online training for employees of the integrator company NordicTech in the training centre
Id-Guard is a boxed solution that is installed on a ready-made video surveillance system. The installation process takes minutes, while implementation takes a few days, and the software is configured remotely.
In addition to installing the software, RecFaces has provided online training for employees of the integrator company NordicTech in the training centre. This will allow them to correctly interpret the results of the Id-Guard operation and tune the system on their own.
Main functions of Id-Guard
The RecFaces company, together with the integrator, first offered the Assembly to test Id-Guard in a demo version. After the trial period, the client decided to install the system permanently.
The main functions of Id-Guard for state institutions are list control, visitor tracking, and archive search. In the Parliament of El Salvador, the software functionality is involved almost 100%, which is rare for complex technical solutions.
Ease of implementation and use
This is not the first time that government entities have installed Id-Guard. More than a year ago, RecFaces implemented the system in Saudi Arabia, also in the building of a state institution.
“Government entities choose ready-made software products specifically due to their ease of implementation and use, security, and absence of failures. This is especially applied to innovative areas related to security and software for working with personal data, such as facial biometrics,” says Maria Kazhuro, Business Development Manager in LATAM, RecFaces.
