Global sensor manufacturer OPTEX will be exhibiting at Sectech Norway to showcase its latest solutions for advanced perimeter protection, including live demonstrations of its multi award-winning LiDAR detection series, REDSCAN Pro.
The ONVIF profile S compliant REDSCAN Pro series features an innovative multi-zone detection logic and integrated camera module, and provides highly accurate long-range detection, making it the ideal solution for the highest security sites including critical infrastructure and logistics hubs.
Dynamic event filtering
Sectech will also provide OPTEX with the opportunity to debut its recently launched new firmware for the REDSCAN Pro series. The upgraded firmware features dynamic event filtering, which allows for alerts to be configured to meet specific detection criteria or logic.

For example, alarms can be raised based on the sequence of zone detection, such as a target entering a specific zone first then a second one. It allows to filter events and focus on what really matters to the security team. In addition to its on-stand presence, Mark Cosgrave, OPTEX Divisional Manager for Western Europe, will be a key contributor to the Perimeter Protection panel discussion that takes place at the event on Thursday 10 March.
Major security projects
“I’m very pleased to be featuring in this session on advanced perimeter security alongside our technology partners,” he says. “It provides the perfect platform to discuss the latest detection technologies – from fibre optic and volumetric sensors to LiDAR’s – and how these benefit the overall security system.”
“Norway and the wider Nordic region have become increasingly important markets for us, working on a number of major security projects and installations within the transportation, defence and commercial sectors in recent years. Sectech provides the ideal opportunity for us to further connect with the market and meet with new and existing partners and customers to discuss their needs, and further grow our presence in the region.”
