Matrix, a leading manufacturer of Telecom and Security solutions, successfully concluded participation in Convergence India 2018. The event bears witness to some of the latest and most advanced technology trends of the communication sector every year.

Video conferencing and smart video IP desk phone

The event marked the entry of Matrix in the server-based solution market. The diligent Telecom team showcased the first ever Video Conferencing Server – PARISAT, at Convergence India 2018. The solution supports high definition video and audio conferencing amongst 12 and 80+ participants, respectively. Another product that grabbed eyeballs was Matrix SPARSH VP710 - the Smart Video IP Desk phone. Sleekly designed on the user-friendly Android interface, the phone acts as an ideal collaboration equipment for high-level professionals. The endpoint is equipped with USB port, allowing employees to access or transfer files from other storage devices on their desk phones. With built-in Wi-Fi, the user can be a part of regular official communication even on the move while using office’s data resources. Matrix Pure IP Solution – PRASAR UCS remained in the limelight due to its scalability and reliability factor. The solution, with IP at core, facilitates improved call management and empowers small and large enterprises to avail benefits of the latest communication technology. With a capacity of 2,100 users and a line of other features, the solution finds its application in hotels, healthcare organizations, retail, manufacturing industries and building intercom scenarios.

Access control and time-attendance

In the event, Matrix showcased futuristic technologies from the Security domain as well. Matrix Access Control and Time-Attendance domain exhibited its newly launched Face Recognition technology for authentication through mobile. The technology enables contactless authentication with precise and accurate authentication. Apart from this, high-end, cloud-based Time-Attendance and Access Control solution also gained much appreciation. Understanding that mobile is next generation technology in the security domain, Matrix displayed Mobile-based Access Control solution whereby user can either scan QR code or just twist his/her phone for authentication. User can mark attendance automatically using GPS or Wi-Fi through mobile application. Thus, Matrix being the front face in innovation, we are also exhibiting some extraordinary Biometric Door Controllers useful for applications in Time-Attendance, Access Control, Visitor Management, Cafeteria Management and many more. Furthermore, latest and newly launched Aadhaar-based biometric attendance system, COSEC VEGA FAXQ also attracted attention of government customers.

IP video surveillance

The other wing of Security domain, IP Video Surveillance, showcased its Video Management Solution, SATATYA SAMAS. The solution addresses threats in a logical, sequential manner through its unique features like CREAM (Cognitive Responsive Engine with Automated Monitoring). CREAM eliminates false alerts by conducting a multi-stage verification. Keeping in mind the need for automation in medium, large and multi-location enterprises, Matrix demonstrated how SATATYA SAMAS can seamlessly automate the parallel working of various systems integrated in an organization. Alongside, Network Video Recorders that are equipped with characteristics like Cascading, Camera-wise Recording Retention, Database Level Integration and plenty of other distinct features were also on display. In addition to this, the new range of IP cameras, sporting SONY STARVIS series sensors with EXMOR technology were also exhibited. These cameras offer exceptional low light performance, consistent image in varying light conditions (True WDR), better bandwidth optimization and many other features.
