The major topics being covered at the event will be digital transformation as a key part of the European recovery plan and the challenges and priorities of an industrial security strategy that aims to ensure cyber/digital resilience in the “new post-pandemic normal”. The programme will also focus on the need to strengthen technological sovereignty across Europe and the impetus for closer collaboration between governments and the security and cyber security industry.

Alessandro Profumo, CEO of Leonardo, commented: “The Covid-19 crisis has further demonstrated the importance of new technologies to society. The digital transition must remain a top priority for Italy and Europe, where the implementation of the EU digital and data strategy is more important than ever. The security and defence industry has a significant role to play in the development of these technologies, which must embed security at their core in order to ensure resilience and operational continuity”.
