The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) is returning to Las Vegas for CES 2017. Influential voices from global Taiwanese brands, ASUSTeK, KYMCO, Delta, and Thermaltake, will share their insights into innovation at a press conference at the Encore Tower Suite on January 4th, 2017.

Taiwan has long been a vital designer and manufacturer for the global Information & Communications Technology (ICT) industry.

Cutting-edge design at display

The island’s consumer electronics products embody great value and innovation, and cutting-edge design. Taiwan is the world’s largest chipmaker, responsible for close to a quarter of the world’s semiconductor chip production. Taiwanese-based companies are responsible for about three quarters of the world’s PCs, a third of the world’s liquid crystal displays (LCDs), and twenty percent of mobile phones sold worldwide.

During the Taiwan Excellence press conference, senior executives and researchers from the industry will be answering questions and offering the latest inside information on new technologies and products driving the ICT market.

ASUSTek Computer Inc.

Rex Lee, the Chief Marketing Officer of ASUSTeK, a PC and notebook manufacturer, will be sharing the latest news on his company’s products and technologies, with insights based on his personal experience.

Delta Electronics, Inc.

Vivitek, a brand of Delta, will be presenting NovoEnterprise, a next generation system for wireless presentation and collaboration, capable of 4K streaming. It is designed to take corporate presentations and conferences to a new level of interaction. Every participant can easily collaborate and share digital content with other attendees using any portable and mobile device, whether they are using Windows, MacOS, iOS, or Android Operating Systems.

It can connect up to 64 users, and show up to four windows simultaneously. NovoEnterprise addresses today’s collaborative meetings in a clutter-free, dynamic environment for productivity and comprehension, while encouraging teamwork. The associated Launcher Plus and its Plug & Play feature allows users to mirror and send digital content instantly, without the need to install any application.

Industrial Technology Research Institute

ITRI’s Ming-Jer Kao will be presenting ITRI’s intelligent vision system for companion robots. Using deep learning techniques to continuously refine its performance, the robot learns to perform useful tasks, such as playing chess on a real board, and pouring coffee perfectly by adapting to the location and randomly-sized and positioned coffee cups.

ITRI will also be introducing its management system for drone fleets, which allows drones to operate autonomously for at least a month over a huge area, recharge automatically from a variety of renewable and conventional sources, and be managed from any distance, including internationally, via multiple, redundant mobile networks.

Kwang Yang Motor Co, Ltd. (KYMCO)

KYMCO Chairman, Allen Ko, will discuss KYMCO’s smart, connected dashboard system for scooters, which joins the scooter to the Internet of Things (IoT) and the Internet of Vehicles (IoV). User-customisable with shareable, personalised themes, the dashboard provides advanced usability features like smartphone integration, navigation, and weather information, and the system guides the user back to the vehicle’s location in crowded parking areas.

Thermaltake Technology Co., Ltd.

Thermaltake’s Mike Fierheller will provide details of innovative new wall-mounted liquid-cooled open frame tempered glass PC cases, and premium eSports peripherals—such as a keyboard with individual backlights in each key that provides customised illumination modes for different games, and a super-precise 12,000 DPI mouse.

Throughout CES 2017, the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion will be showing 38 innovative products from 10 companies honoured by the Taiwan Excellence Awards. The award winners represent industries such as the IoT, Internet of Vehicles, gaming, wearables, and 3D printing. Exhibitors include: ASUSTeK, Acer, Thermaltake, ADATA, Transcend, and ComeTrue, among others. The Taiwan Excellence Pavilion is at Booth 21409 LVCC of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
