ISD expanded senior team to meet growing UK and global demand for its fully integrated fire detection and security solutions |
The company attributes its growth surge to an agile partnership approach that enables a painless transition from costly, cumbersome old security models to flexible next-generation web-hosted security services that deliver reduced costs, scalability and ease of use.
ISD Tech has seen strong growth across many of its core sectors such as renewable energy, IT services, education and property development. Recent highlights include installations for world-leading fashion brands in London’s premium retail districts and an innovative abseil-enabled installation of a VESDA very early warning aspirating smoke detection system at Imperial College London.
In addition to domestic UK growth, 2015 saw the company expand its international sales revenue to 65% of turnover, building on worldwide logistics, local in-country support and exceptional global compliance knowledge. Notable projects included a multidisciplinary biometric access control solution for a leading oil company in Oman; an integrated access and security system for a US online retailer’s new China HQ; and networked security for European and Asia branches of a leading US investment bank.
ISD Tech makes key hires
ISD Tech has made a number of key hires to support this growth: Graeme Currie joins as Technical Account Engineer; Gary Sturge as Site Manager; and Sarah Stanton as Project Engineer.
Graeme Currie brings to his new role extensive experience in IP and networked fire and security systems acquired over almost 20 years in senior posts at TYCO/ADT Fire and Security. With strong design skills and in-depth knowledge of security systems from the world’s top manufacturers, Graeme has delivered numerous security solutions from basic operations to highly complex integrated systems within strict budgets and timescales.
The ultimate safe pair of hands, ISD Tech’s new site manager, Gary Sturge, spent 23 years in the Parachute Regiment, where his responsibilities included running military medical centres in extreme conditions ranging from the Arctic to desert, jungle and urban conflict zones. On leaving the Armed Forces, he transferred to the civilian sector to coordinate development of major security installations in the UK and Europe for multinational organisations.
Sarah Stanton joins from Gratte Brothers Security Management, where, as a security project engineer, she supervised CCTV, access control, visitor and traffic management and intruder alarm installations to a NACOSS Gold Standard. She has extensive experience in construction projects across a diverse range of sectors including professional services, information technology, local government, retail, leisure and education.
