IDIS placed partner training and education front and centre at the ISC West 2018 show in Las Vegas earlier this month, highlighting the global surveillance manufacturer’s latest set of flexible, in-depth training and education resources available online at no additional charge to the company’s partners.

The three new e-learning modules, focussed on IDIS DirectIP, DirectCX, the IDIS Center video management software (VMS) offerings, are designed specifically for engineers, project managers, and technical consultants. Created to be intuitive and flexible e-learning courses can be used at the right time and place to suit each individual learner and can work both as stand-alone resources, or serve as a complement to/refresher for in-house training offered at IDIS America’s state-of-the-art training centre in Coppell, Texas.

Security training for the trainees

The courses include training videos, reviews of equipment operation manuals, and assessments designed to test and confirm the trainees understanding of key concepts of system operation.

With a comprehensive training area dashboard, users can see, at-a-glance, which courses have been started and completed. They can also keep up-to-date with the latest information about forthcoming training resources, including webinars and live training events. After completing each course and passing the certification exam (with a minimum score of 75%), the trainee will receive an online certificate.

Enhancing skills of engineers and consultants

IDIS has a longstanding commitment to the training and education of our partners,” noted Keith Drummond, Senior Director at IDIS America. “This commitment works hand-in-hand with our well-documented and exceptional ease of use to reduce the time needed to place the full power of IDIS technology and capabilities in the hands of our partners and end-users.

With these enhanced training tools, we are putting control of learning directly into the hands of individual engineers and consultants, building on what we do every day in our physical training centre in the Dallas area. These e-learning modules will help them to increase their skills, or refresh what they already know, at exactly the time and pace that best suits them.
