Hikvision has announced the successful integration of the Hikvision automatic number plate recognition system into the Paxton’s Net2 access control system, which will provide a host of benefits to installers and integrators which can in turn be passed onto their end-user customers.

Controlling gates and barriers

Working in a stand-alone environment or as part of a wider Hikvision solution this integration allows legacy and new Hikvision ANPR systems to be operated seamlessly from the Net2 system helping to control a gate or barrier by associating an individual’s car registration number with their access control credential such as entry card or key fob over multiple formats which utilise the Wiegand interface. This means the user does not have to leave the vehicle to action the gate or barrier.

Paxton provides access control systems which meet the challenges and trends of the security market. With over 30 years’ experience, the company offers engineering excellence, creating simple, yet intelligent and innovative products with simplicity designed in, ensuring they are straightforward to install, use and maintain. Net2 is the UK’s most popular access control solution, with more than 150 additional buildings being fitted with it every week. The security system offers centralised administration and control of sites ranging from one to hundreds of doors, and thousands of users.
