Genetec Inc. (Genetec), a global technology provider of unified security, public safety, operations, and business intelligence solutions, has announced its participation at the Smart City Expo World Congress 2022, which is taking place at Fira Barcelona Gran Via, in Barcelona, Spain, from 15 November to 17 November, 2022.

Cities small and large are increasingly looking to use a growing network of connected sensors to reshape the urban experience. Genetec representatives will demonstrate how the company’s technology is connecting the dots, helping to create safer, more vibrant cities that people want to live in.

As more and more cities explore ways to use a growing network of connected sensors, representatives will showcase how their solutions can help public safety and transit agencies find better ways to unify, secure, and leverage technology to protect the everyday.

  • Microsoft (Stand 61, Hall 2) – Genetec and Microsoft will be showcasing how public safety and transit agencies are leveraging the Azure Cloud to improve information sharing and ease traffic flow in cities. Applications on display include the full Genetec suite of Smart Mobility solutions, the Genetec Clearance Digital Evidence Management System for accelerating processes and reducing operational costs during public safety investigations, and the Curb Sense cloud-based central enforcement platform for parking and curb management.
  • Smart City Galaxy (Stand 112 Hall 2) – Choychoy Consulting will be showcasing Smart City Galaxy, a comprehensive Smart City Solution co-developed alongside Genetec. It integrates flexible, scalable and interconnected solutions that can be customised to any city or territory, regardless of its size or the progress of its digital transformation project.
  • Government of Canada (Stand 51 Hall 2) – The Canadian Government will be outlining how Canadian companies, such as Genetec are supporting global city decision makers. Showcasing Genetec Security Center, visitors will learn how to unify data to assist in managing security policies, monitoring events and running investigations. Security Center is an open-architecture platform that unifies IP-based video surveillance, access control, automatic license plate recognition (ALPR), communications, and analytics.
