Fire-Lite Alarms is pleased to announce the addition of a new wireless relay module to their SWIFT® line of devices. The SWIFT® relay module expands wireless application opportunities to include the ability to activate a remote power supply and NAC expander, conduct elevator recall or power shutdown, and trigger door holders.

SWIFT®, which stands for Smart Wireless Integrated Fire Technology, is a Class A, commercial wireless system that uses a robust mesh network. Eliminating wires saves time and money on installation, making SWIFT® an efficient fire solution. A single relay module may be used to activate one output device, or two relay modules can be used in parallel to activate multiple devices.

Features and updates

The SWIFT® relay module operates across our Class A, mesh network using 4 CR123A batteries for power and provides the same contact ratings as its wireless counterpart, as referenced in the device installation and maintenance instructions.

Additional SWIFT® 2.0 features and updates include: increased range for primary links (expanded from -50 dB to -55 dB for better system coverage), more detailed battery life information in SWIFT® Tools (allows planned battery replacement), updated LED output (more consistent with wired devices for easier status recognition), and further improved cyber security (offers a safer more secure system).

SWIFT® system release 2.0 was made available in late 2015. Existing SWIFT® systems are field upgradable to SWIFT® 2.0. The upgrade process is explained in the system manual and highlighted in a separate flyer.
