Fibar Group, a leading manufacturer of wireless, intelligent home automation system, introduces the FIBARO INTERCOM, a Wi-Fi enabled security and communication device that lets users identify visitors and speak with them, even when they’re away from home. It will be offered in two models: doorbell/entry phone and indoor intercom.
Ideal security solution
This modern-looking, high-gloss device can be placed anywhere near the front door, gate or inside the house. It provides a 180-degree, high-definition view of the area in front of the door, showing everyone who has arrived. In HDR mode, FIBARO INTERCOM also allows the user to capture clear video images in direct sunlight and features an IR diode for perfect night-time video capture. FIBARO INTERCOM uses Voice Over IP (VoIP) video-audio transfer, delivering clear sound with no distracting noises or adverse sound effects. With an advanced encoder the video from the camera can be watched in a standard browser and mobile devices. The video can also be recorded and stored in the cloud. The built-in motion sensor inside of the FIBARO INTERCOM detects the presence and informs the user about it.
The device can communicate with other smart home devices using either Wi-Fi, Ethernet or Bluetooth Smart, has 2 controllable relay outputs for possible control of a door or gate and is powered by 12V DC adapter or PoE (Power over Ethernet).
FIBARO INTERCOM is an ideal security solution. User-defined PIN codes are used to open the door or gate. The device can also be connected to the user’s alarm system to protect against tampering or disassembling. Cryptographic mechanisms protect AV content and communication between devices.
Multifunctional communication device
The package of FIBARO INTERCOM’s apps provides the whole range of other functionalities. The device can turn smartphone or other device with BLE standard into a gate key. Moreover the app provide the user with a complete history of activities at the door detected by the built-in motion sensor. For those, who want to install multiple intercoms inside and outside of the home, the FIBARO INTERCOM app provides a view of all devices on one screen.
