EtherWAN announced the release of a new model, EX47026, from the EX47000 family, a hardened DIN-mountable unmanaged Ethernet switch supporting full wire speed throughput at 100Mbps, provides sophisticated fibre optic connectivity as many as 6 ports with SC or ST connectors.
For industrial applications
Designed for industrial applications, the EX47026 supports operating temperature ranging from -40°C to 75°C, high ESD/EMI protection and redundant power inputs , alarms for relay output for notification when power failure or port link down occurs. The EX47026 is housed with ruggedised aluminium enclosure supporting DIN-rail or panel mounting.
Compliant to IEC61850-3, IEEE1613 and EN50121-4 standards, the EX47026 is suitable for network communications at electric utilities or wayside network connectivity. For example, the EX47026 is applicable for network distributions in wind farms where fibre optics is the preferred medium for data transmissions of wind turbines. EtherWAN’s EX47026 Ethernet switch is equipped with 6 fibre optic ports and 2 copper ports, which is the ideal option to connect the wind turbine into the topology. The EX47026 can also join a redundant chain network to guarantee the best network availability.
The EX47000 Series supports 100BASE fibre optic cables ranging from different transmission distances and wavelengths. By implementing the fibre optic network in wind farms, data communications can be carried miles away while EMI/EMS are all well taken care of from the EX47000 series engineering design.
