Doordeck has announced Oprema as their exclusive Paxton distribution UK partner, expanding smart security in the UK.

Keyless smartphone access control

Doordeck, which lets building users unlock doors from their phone (instead of a keycard or keyfob), is unique in being the only ‘keyless’ product on the market designed to integrate directly with a building’s existing access control system — like the industry-leading Paxton Net2. Fundamentally, it means you can roll out smartphone access to an entire building in under 15 minutes, without any downtime or disruption for the end-user. Oprema, being one of the largest distributors of Paxton in the UK, were of course a natural fit for Doordeck’s unique platform

Oprema, being one of the largest distributors of Paxton in the UK, were of course a natural fit for Doordeck’s unique platform. Under the new partnership, Doordeck will be available immediately for existing Oprema customers who wish to add smartphone functionality to their Paxton systems. New customers will also have the option of having Doordeck on their systems from day one.

Oprema-Doordeck integration

Doordeck’s CEO, said of the partnership: “Oprema have been one of the most ambitious and innovate providers of access control we’ve met, so I’m delighted that they’ll be the ones to represent us here in the UK. With Oprema exclusively distributing Doordeck, it means we can get our product in the hands of even more users whilst having more time to build even more new features for our users. This is just the start of our partnership, but we’re looking forward to supporting and growing alongside Oprema.

Gareth Williams, Oprema Sales Director, added: “At Oprema we are always searching for the latest technology advancements in the marketplace for our customers. Doordeck represents our first ‘bring your own device’ (BYOD) solution, utilising the exiting access control reader infrastructure. The Doordeck integration with market leading manufacturer Paxton, will allow any mobile device (Android or Apple) to act as a credential on the system, displacing the use of cards and fobs. I see a huge opportunity for applications with a large card population such as gymnasiums, universities, banks and blue-chip organisations. I am delighted to welcome Doordeck as an Oprema strategic partner and excited for our future growth together.
