Dahua Technology USA, a manufacturer of video surveillance solutions, will be showcasing its cutting-edge HDCVI multi-sensor camera at ASIS 2017 in Dallas, Texas, as part of a full portfolio of innovative multi-sensor models.

HDCVI multi-sensor camera features

Dahua’s HDCVI multi-sensor camera brings wide panoramic views in high definition to coaxial infrastructure. The durable, high-performing device features three individual 2MP sensors in an all-in-one IP67 weather resistant indoor/outdoor housing. It has an IR illumination distance of up to 66 feet and a transmission distance of up to 1640 feet over RG59 coaxial cable.

“Dahua expanded our multi-sensor family with the addition of the HDCVI model because multi-sensor cameras are becoming a popular choice for an increasing variety of installations,” commented Jennifer Hackenburg, Senior Product Marketing Manager, Dahua Technology USA. “Multi-sensors were once regarded as niche components of large, exterior surveillance systems but we are seeing a greater need for them for interior surveillance. They’re well-suited for hospitals and school buildings, for example.”

Fewer cameras for lower costs

Because a multi-sensor camera provides the same coverage that would typically be provided by multiple standard cameras, fewer cameras are required. This makes for a less conspicuous camera presence, not to mention a reduction in cost of installation, maintenance, and VMS licence.

Dahua also offers four network multi-sensor cameras: a bullet camera with four 2MP sensors (PFW8800N), a bullet camera with three 2MP sensors (PFW8601N), a dome camera with four 2 MP sensors (PDBW8800N), and an all-in-one multi-sensor/PTZ hybrid (PSD81602N).

The all-in-one camera boasts eight 2MP sensors integrated with a 2MP PTZ, an exceptional choice for 360-degree awareness. In addition to an array of form factors, the network multi-sensor family encompasses an impressive set of features that includes Smart H.265+ compression, Starlight technology for ultra-low light sensitivity, and Intelligent Video System (IVS) analytics.
