The British Government has asked for the cyber security industry in the UK to provide views and opinions

Martin Smith, Cyber Security Connect UK Conference, The Security Company and SASIG Chairman and Founder, has called on the cyber security community in the United Kingdom to use this opportunity to reinforce the importance of ensuring that the highest standards are retained by the UK once it departs the European Union.

Maintaining the high standards of cyber security

Mr Smith stated, “As the data economy and IOT (Internet of Things) continues to thrive, we must ensure that the general public have trust in the products, services and processes that businesses and government agencies provide. It is paramount that the level of cyber security remains robust enough to ensure that our digital economy continues to function safely and securely. I would encourage all cyber security professionals to bring the key issues to the attention of the UK Government.”

The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport is asking for responses to be submitted by the 8th October 2019.
