ASSA ABLOY Access Control has upgraded Aperio’s innovative wireless hub technology to facilitate faster wireless communications with any existing access control system.

ASSA ABLOY Access Control’s Aperio enables the wireless integration of mechanical locks into existing access control systems, offering a cost effective and simple security upgrade, with minimal modification to doors and premises.

The new Aperio IP communications hub connects up to eight separate secure doors, linking each to the electronic access control system via a TCP / IP interface.

Damian Marsh, ASSA ABLOY Access Control UK Managing Director explains the benefits: “The Aperio hubs ability to communicate on a much faster scale with Aperio cylinders or escutcheons is great news, as the Aperio solution now becomes even simpler to install with greater flexibility to upgrade the controllability and security level of any premises.”

“The new Aperio IP Communications Hub will be of significant interest to OEMs and system integrators working with IP-based systems in access control CCTV and similar areas, looking to solve costly and time-consuming key control problems for their customers.”

The upgraded hubs follows significant evolving connectivity and developments in RFID technology, which means Aperio has the capability to connect with almost any online access control system in the marketplace.

These advances further bring the benefits of an online access control system to additional doors at far less cost than traditionally possible, without compromising on quality or aesthetics.

Aperio has been designed to work with a wide range of lockcases and cylinders.
