U.S. Veterans Magazine's 2013 Best of the Best Lists were compiled from multiple sources |
AlliedBarton Security Services, the industry's premier provider of highly trained security personnel, is proud to be featured as a top veteran-friendly company by U.S. Veterans Magazine. The results were announced in the magazine's 2013 "Best of the Best" list which recognizes companies committed to hiring military veterans.
"Being cited as a top veteran-friendly company is a true honour," said Jerold Ramos, Director, Strategic Recruiting/Military Liaison, AlliedBarton. "As the only security officer services company on this list, we are proud to lead the security sector in military hiring."
U.S. Veterans Magazine's 2013 Best of the Best Lists were compiled from multiple sources including market research, independent research, diversity conference participation and survey responses. More than 250 companies and institutions participated in this year's evaluation, resulting in lists of the nation's top veteran-friendly companies, top supplier diversity programs, top Veteran Business Owners (VBOs) and Disabled Veteran Business Owners (DVBOs), top government and law enforcement agencies and top veteran-friendly schools.
"We have hired over 3,000 veterans in the first seven months of 2013," said Ramos who states that nearly 20% of AlliedBarton's new hires this year are veterans.
AlliedBarton's company-wide military hiring program, Hire Our Heroes(SM), www.alliedbarton.com/hireourheroes, is an essential part of their recruiting strategy.
Ramos was also recently appointed to lead the Military Spouse Program Work Group for JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s 100,000 Jobs Mission. Launched in 2011, the 100,000 Jobs Mission, www.100000JobsMission.com, is a coalition of 109 companies committed to hiring at least 100,000 U.S. military veterans by 2020. The coalition's companies have collectively hired 77,612 veterans through the second quarter of 2013.
