Caterham 7 Supersport has a 1.6-litre Ford Sigma engine and race prepared suspension

After several years of successful sponsorship, Specialized Security Products Ltd will be showcasing a Caterham 7 Supersport on their stand at IFSEC International on 14th -17th May. Former Caterham Championship winner Wesley Fox will also be on the Specialized Security Products stand to share his racing experiences in Hall 4, stand E5.

The all new Caterham 7 Supersport features a 1.6-litre Ford Sigma engine, five-speed 'sprint' ratio gearing, lightweight flywheel and race-prepared suspension with CR500 Avon tyres on 13" wheels.

Weighing just 520kg, and propelled by a Ford powerplant, the Supersport will go from 0-60mph in 4.9 seconds and will achieve a top speed of 120mph without breaking a sweat. Equipped with a motorsport-honed limited-slip-differential and geared with sports driving in mind, the Supersport also features uprated springs and dampers borrowed directly from its race car cousin, stiffer anti-roll bars, a track biased dash with an integrated change up light and an aero screen.

Wesley Fox, who will be present on the Specialized Security Product’s stand at IFSEC, entered the Caterham Academy in 2010 and won the Group 1 Championship, winning three of the four races and finishing on the podium at each of the 7 events during the year. He won the competitive 2011 Roadsport Championship, winning 8 out of 14 races throughout the year. Wesley also competed in the 2011 Caterham Supersport Championship, qualifying second on the grid and went on to win proving his dominance in all steps of the Caterham ladder.

Specialised Security Product’s Director Rob Ansell commented: “We are delighted that Wesley Fox and his stunning Caterham 7 Supersport will be showcased on our stand this year at IFESC. We have enjoyed our sponsorship of Weslesy over a number of years and look forward to being able to share the positive experiences of Caterham racing with all the visitors to our stand.”
