Hytera’s French dealer Modulocom secured the contract to supply three networks

The 24 Hours of Le Mans (24 Heures du Mans) is the world’s oldest sports car endurance race and one of the most famous and influential in motorsports history. This year, the race is held in the French town of Le Mans, located in the Loire region during 22-23 June with more than 245,000 people attended and Hytera radio systems were on hand to make sure the event went smoothly.

Given the vast crowds and amount of organisation required, the organiser Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO) needed a resilient and trustworthy communications system. Hytera’s French dealer Modulocom secured the contract to supply three networks: one to the firm handling race security and access to the paddock; another went to the organisers of the Driver’s Parade; and the last to the company responsible for setting up installations for the event. 200 Hytera PD705 DMR hand portables and three RD985 DMR repeaters were supplied for the radio communication system and Modulocom was on hand to support and assist all three sets of customers during the race.
