The event includes 6-day courses and the 2 day "Securing The Human" course for security professionals

SANS has added a new London date to its security-training calendar. SANS London Summer takes place from the 9th to 16th of July at the London Marriott Hotel Kensington and gives security professionals the opportunity to attend four of SANS most popular 6-day courses and the excellent 2 day “Securing The Human” course.

“SANS London 2012 was the most popular security training event ever held outside of the US,” says Matt Anderson, Director, EMEA SANS Institute, “Despite it being our largest event, many of the 15 courses reached capacity more than a month before the event started.”

Anderson believes the demand for well-trained security professionals across Europe has never been higher as organisations become more aware of the extent of cyber-crime across the region. SANS Summer London 2013 provides a second opportunity for security professionals to take SANS courses in London during 2013. We expect the November SANS London event to sell out again so this event provides another chance for security professionals to attend one of our courses – and enjoy seeing London in the Summer” Anderson adds.

One of SANS’ most popular classes returning to London this July is SEC401: SANS Security Essentials Bootcamp. This course teaches the language and underlying theory of computer security including the essential up-to-the-minute knowledge and skills required for people responsible for securing systems and organisations. The SANS Summer London 2013 training schedule also includes:

  • SEC503: Intrusion Detection In-Depth with Johannes Ullrich, Ph.D.
  • SEC542: Web App Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking with Dave Shackleford
  • FOR408: Computer Forensic Investigations - Windows In-Depth with Jess Garcia
  • MGT433: Securing The Human: Building and Deploying an Effective Security Awareness Program with Tim Harwood
