Opengear will formally launch its partner programme at the upcoming Cisco Live London

Opengear, a global vendor of critical infrastructure management solutions, has launched a new channel programme that aims to simplify partner recruitment, management and support as they extend across vertical and geographic markets.  The new Opengear Certified Partner programme moves to a single tier model and includes deal registration, discounted demonstration kits, training and market support and will initially include the 30 transacting EMEA partners with plans to scale the program globally.

“We are refreshing our partner programme to become a truly channel-focused organisation and have taken significant measures to make it easier to do business with Opengear,” says Derek Watkins, Director of Sales for EMEA at Opengear, “EMEA revenues have grown organically since 2010, with record year on year growth in 2012, and we now have a footprint that requires a more formalised approach that helps us to better support our channel as it moves into new territories and vertical markets.” Key features of the new partner programme that will be available at launch and over the next few weeks include:

  • Partner portal including a personalised resource dashboard for opportunity registrations
  • Dedicated channel managers
  • Expanded marketing development funds
  • Discounted product demonstration kits
  • Expanded training opportunities
  • Dedicated technical support team
  • Refreshed discount structure to maximise reseller profit

“Opengear has grown based on a set of products and an ethos that challenges the status quo within the remote access market,” explains Watkins, “Opengear provides the most feature rich, cost effective solutions for secure remote infrastructure management, coupled with world-class expertise and support to assure customer success. Our innovative products utilise technologies like cellular remote access, true out-of-band management, smart automation and vendor-neutral interoperability, helping our channel to solve entrenched problems at a lower cost point while offering more features out of the box.”

Opengear will formally launch its new partner programme to coincide with its exhibiting at the upcoming Cisco Live London event from January 28th to February 1st

Opengear will formally launch its new partner programme to coincide with its exhibiting at the upcoming Cisco Live London event from January 28th to February 1st. “We have deep compatibility with the Cisco architecture and our products are even used internally by Cisco, so this is a natural event to showcase our solutions and recruit additional partners. Our aim is not to saturate the region with partners but to build a community that can deliver high value solutions across vertical markets such as data centre, utilities, field service and campus with our long term support and commitment.”

Opengear solutions are designed to add significant business value when combined with current product portfolios of IT, communications, power and network infrastructure.  New partners can leverage Opengear products to increase blended margin on existing accounts, and add value for their clients while generating recurring revenue, by offering services such as remote monitoring and management of customer premise equipment.

Opengear will be demonstrating its full product range at Cisco Live and Watkins is available for press interview either pre, during or post event.
