Midwich Security supplies access control systems, large format displays, audio equipment and mounting brackets

Midwich security, formerly known as Ubiqz the security division of Midwich, has confirmed that it will be attending IFSEC, the UK’s largest security industry event, at the NEC in Birmingham from the 14th to the 17th May this year.

The division, a trade-only supplier of CCTV cameras, as well as monitors, audio equipment and connectivity solutions for control rooms will showcase the very latest IP and analogue security solutions and software from its impressive product portfolio. Stocking products from industry leading brands including Bosch, Canon, Y-cam, JVC, Maxxess, Pentax and many more, Midwich security has signed a number of new vendor agreements in recent months making it one of the security industry’s leading trade-only suppliers.

As the specialist security division of Midwich, Midwich security offers the technical expertise and understanding of a small specialist distributor with the formidable logistics and financial strength of its larger parent company. This relationship also means that, rather than simply offering customer’s security products, Midwich security can also supply complete solutions such as access control systems, large format displays, audio equipment, mounting brackets, and all the necessary components to fully equip control rooms. Visitors to the Midwich security stand will also be able to find out more about the distributor’s range of customer support services such as online ordering, next day delivery and instant credit.

Midwich security specialists will be on hand throughout the IFSEC show to discuss current issues in the security sector, including the latest products to hit the market, the convergence of IP and analogue systems, HD camera resolutions, the integration of access control systems, and choosing the correct fibre, network or UTP connectivity solution.

Amongst the experts at the show will be new director, Mark Thomas. With 23 years of experience in the technology industry, Mark has held management roles in installation and manufacture when he worked for TeleEye. This was a role that saw him play a vital part in establishing TeleEye as a brand in the UK video transmission market place. More recently, Mark got involved in distribution with CCTV Center.

Hugely knowledgeable of the industry, Mark is now eager to put his expertise to use in developing the Norfolk based firm to the point where it becomes the industry’s benchmark distributor.

Mark commented ‘We have a very young and energetic team here and I have a responsibility to use my experience in the industry to get the best from them. As a qualified life and business coach, I’m well placed to help the division succeed in harnessing the huge potential that Midwich Security offers.’

Asked how he likes to approach business, Mark said ‘Responding to customers’ requests is about more than delivering what they ask for. It’s about listening. If you really listen, you discover that what they need often goes beyond what they’re saying. You need to respond to the unspoken requests. This shows you’re paying attention and is great for business. And of course, we also have a duty to provide an unsurpassed experience for our vendors if we’re to ensure an efficient supply chain.’
